Start with your business

Three short context questions help tailor your action plan. Approximate bands are enough.

What this tool helps you examine

Revenue definition

Can you distinguish contracted, recognised, invoiced and collected revenue?

Reconcile the customer revenue measures used in reporting and forecasts.

Compute costs

Can you attribute inference, API, hosting and other compute costs to usage?

Map direct compute costs to the customer, workload or usage unit that drives them.

Implementation effort

Are onboarding, integration and configuration hours measured?

Track implementation effort and identify what can be standardised or priced separately.

Turn a result into a useful next step

The objective is to make the evidence and unanswered questions visible. A well-presented score is only a starting point. Review the underlying answers, allocate responsibility and decide which gaps need records, analysis or specialist input.

Your industry changes the information that matters. The action plan includes an industry prompt covering the commercial and cash drivers relevant to your selection. It does not assume that an AI company, a retailer and a professional services firm should be judged using the same operating metrics.

Consult EFC can help agree the right scope, organise the inputs and build financial work around your intended decision. Fees, deliverables, information requirements and timing are agreed before work starts.

How the tool works

Answer three context questions, then 8 evidence questions. Each evidence answer receives 0, 1, 2 or 3 points with equal weight. The preparation score is the percentage of available points, rounded to a whole number. The CFO assessment reverses that score to describe reported gaps. These are transparent internal scoring rules, not externally validated benchmarks.

A visibility and evidence assessment for AI businesses. It does not calculate profitability or compare you with a market benchmark.

Results are generated in your browser. This tool does not automatically submit your assessment answers. You can download the plan and choose whether to discuss it with Consult EFC. The website may separately collect ordinary visit analytics as explained in the privacy policy.

Questions before you start

Can I see my result without sharing an email address?

Yes. Complete the tool to see your result and action plan immediately. You can download a text copy without providing contact details. Booking a call or making a service enquiry is optional.

How can I discuss my result with Consult EFC?

Download your action plan and book an introductory call using the link beside your result. You can also enquire through the relevant service page. We can discuss the evidence, your objectives and a suitable scope. No engagement begins automatically.

Is this professional advice or an independently verified score?

No. These tools are planning aids based on information you enter. Questionnaire scores use our stated internal rules, rather than external validation or market benchmarks. Discuss material decisions with appropriately qualified advisers.

How should I use the result?

Use it to identify questions and organise evidence, then review the findings in the context of your business. Missing evidence and genuine commercial risk are different issues. An assessment cannot establish either without further investigation.
